Jallianwala Bagh Centenary: PM Modi says Capt skipped event to please ‘parivar’, he shoots ‘dirty politics’ barb
Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh Sunday suspect Prime Minister Narendra Modi of taking part in “dirty politics” when he claimed that the Congress leader skipped a politician event, wherever vice president M Venkaiah Naidu paid tributes to those killed within the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, as he was busy within the “parivar’s bhakti”.
Amarinder alleged that the central government deliberately selected to carry a “parallel event” rather than supporting the initiatives and programmes of the Punjab government.
The Union Ministry of Culture had organized programme, to mark one hundred years of massacre that happened on April thirteen, 1919. Naidu, among Punjab Governor V P Singh Badnore, attended the event. Amarinder’s media consultant Raveen Thukral later said that CM “could not attend the event thanks to alternative commitments” and he “participated within the government organized event within the morning.”
A Cabinet Minister (O P Soni) was appointed to be gift at the Central government’s perform, that was attended by the vice president, he said, adding that every one the required protocols were punctually followed.
